I LOVE this piece of oak! I have never seen so much character packed in per square centimetre as in this small, but beautifully formed piece of oak. The grain and colouring are so strong and interesting and it has some great natural cracks and knots.
I would usually have the largest surface area of the wood as the table top, but the waney edge on this piece was such a great feature of the oak that I have flipped it so it can be admired more easily (and only sacrificed a very small a mount of surface area!).
A truly unique and special table.
Finished with a hard-wearing semi-gloss to protect it and bring out it's overwhelming natural beauty.
Black, steel, hairpin legs give it an elegant and contemporary look.
