Oak Waney Edge Dining Table
This piece of Oak from a tree grown in a farm in Ivinghoe near Aldbury, is beautiful.
It’s one of the finest examples of white oak I have seen and has such a warm brown tone to it, it just makes the room feel warmer by looking at it.
The oak has a natural bow to it which gives it tons of character.
It has absolutely stunning, defined grain running through the whole length of the table with some lovely colour variations.
The waney edges are a chunky 7-8cm thick, with some lovely, earthy, bark down half of one waney edge bringing a lovely tonal and textural contrast. The bark also creates a lovely feature at one end of the table with it wrapping underneath.
The top of the waney edges have some incredible character, colouring and grain patterns, making this a really rare, stand out piece.
Finished with a matt organic oil to keep it as natural as possible whilst being hard-wearing enough for the use you would expect on a dining table.
The powder-coated black, steel, spider leg base gives it a contemporary, elegant finish.
Length - 171cm
Width - 90cm at widest point - 63cm at narrowest point
Depth - 7-8cm
Height - 78cm
